What a brilliant job our new Editor has done! Congratulations Louise!
To the Residents of Bigbury Parish
At last week’s Parish Council Meeting I was presented with a gift of thanks for my contribution to the Parish of running the Bigbury News as Editor for the past 10 years.
I would like to thank all the residents of Bigbury Parish for their generous appreciation. I was absolutely delighted with my new printer. There was also a sum of money which I am planning to put towards an upgrade of my iPad.
As most people will know by now, Rose Owen will be retiring as Editor of Bigbury News after publication of the December 2017 issue, following many years of excellent service to the community in publishing this very popular and informative parish magazine.
To mark Rose’s retirement and thank her for her many, many hours of voluntary dedication, the Parish Council is organising a collection, by public donation, to buy a computer printer for her personal use. If you would like to contribute towards this well deserved gift, there is a collection box prominently on display in Holywell Stores. The deadline for contributions is Monday 11th December.
Thank you for your generosity.
Rose has done a fantastic job in producing February’s Bigbury News from New Zealand! You can find this edition in the DOCUMENTS section of the Bigbury News GROUP.
NB Chris Yandell has asked for the following correction to be made to the ‘Shack Splash’ article which should read ‘ You are invited to join us on Friday 7th February from 6-7pm for a seafood nibble and a drink on us (i.e. NOT 8th!).
It would be fantastic to see you. Just ring 01548 810876 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you can come.’
The October issue of Bigbury News is now available in the DOCUMENTS section of the BN GROUP
Thanks for persevering Rose!
