Angie Bond lives in Devon with her husband Julian. They have six children and five grandchildren. This is Angie’s first book, although she has been writing diaries and telling stories to her children and now her grandchildren, for most of her life.
This story is about a boy called Jamie, whose life was suddenly changed when a small kitten found its way on to his farm. This kitten was no ordinary kitten as Jamie would soon find out. Together they would have some wonderful adventures and life would never be the same again.
Angie writes
‘This book is dedicated to my son Jamie. As a result of his untimely death in 2010, we have set up a charity in his memory. The aim of which is to help deserving children and young people to have life changing experiences. We are concentrating our efforts, at the moment, to help 9-11 year olds from Hackney. We are giving as many as possible a week at Grenville House, an Adventure Centre down in Brixham, Devon, where they will experience a range of exciting challenges. We hope this will stimulate them to stretch themselves both mentally and physically and motivate them further to fulfill their true potential and to avoid the Gang Culture and a life of crime.’
Angie launched her first book on July 22nd at the Oyster Shack. It was a very successful day and to date book sales have generated over £1700 for Jamie Procters Foundation. The books are on sale at £6.95.
