Identify theft reaches epidemic levels
Identity theft is reaching epidemic levels, warns fraud prevention group, Cifas. Identities are being stolen at a rate of almost 500 a day, says their Chief Executive, Simon Dukes. Fraudsters are taking personal information, such as names, addresses, dates of birth and bank account details, by hacking computers and from other online sources. So how do you protect yourself to avoid becoming a victim?
