HOUSEHOLD LOCATION MAPS
As part of the Bigbury Coronavirus Support Group activities, maps have been prepared to show the location of all households within the parish, covering the areas of StAnn’s Chapel, Challaborough, Bigbury-on-Sea, Bigbury Village and northern parts of the parish (through Easton to Combe, etc.). These maps can be found in the DOCUMENTS section of the NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN group: >NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN>DOCUMENTS> CATEGORY>MAPS > select relevant file.
NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN – FINAL ADOPTED VERSION
The final version of Bigbury’s Neighbourhood Plan, adopted by SHDC, is now available in the DOCUMENTS section of the NP Group, with or without Appendices. Go to NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN>DOCUMENTS>SELECT CATEGORY>FILE
The one change from the earlier version is the recommended amendment to the wording of the first housing objective at the top of page 10 where the reference to ‘village development boundaries’ should read ‘village settlement boundaries’. In all other parts of the Plan the wording ‘village settlement boundaries’ has been used.
NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN REFERENDUM
If you are registered to vote in Bigbury, please come along and cast your vote in our Referendum on Thursday 27th Feb 2020 at the Memorial Hall.
The question to be decided is ‘Do you want SHDC to use the Neighbourhood Plan to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’
For the avoidance of doubt, you vote by putting a cross (X) in the ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ box on the ballot paper.
If more people vote ‘yes’ than ‘no’ in the Referendum, then South Hams District Council will use the Bigbury Neighbourhood Plan to help it to decide planning applications within Bigbury.
Therefore, a ‘YES’ vote would provide greater protection from unwanted development within the parish, guided by the Neighbourhood Plan. A ‘NO’ vote would mean a loss of local control over any development – other people would decide where and what type of development would be allowed.
YOUR CHOICE!
