Henry and Louise Wainwright have recently applied for Planning Permissions for a swimming pool at Long Easton. Since the submission I have had detailed and helpful discussions with neighbours and we have amicably agreed to move the position of the pool off the old tennis court and have it in a more secluded position behind some existing trees and our house. Our architect has spoken to SHDC to advise them about this change of plan. He was told by SHDC that only an Amendment would be needed (not a full re-submission) and that it may only push the design back one week. I think the Consultation period will also be extended. The new site location plan is being prepared for this and should be done by the beginning of next week. However, we also have a large landscaping project going on at Long Easton and the back fill for the landscaping is being removed from the new proposed site of the swimming pool. Therefore it is possible for the Parish Council to come at any time for a site visit – even if the revised plans have not yet been posted. You are most welcome at any time.
