To eliminate duplication of content in Bigbury’s communication channels, BIGBURY NEWS has been moved to a different website, Bigbury Drums at https://bigburydrums.wixsite.com/bigburydrums ,
where current and historic editions are available.
Bigbury News is run entirely by volunteers in Bigbury Parish and aims to reinforce a strong sense of community between local residents, second home owners, visitors and local businesses. Regular features provide more depth to our appreciation of local history, our environment, events and social activities.
Production costs are met by advertisers, donations and postal subscriptions. Unsolicited donations from those receiving the free monthly magazine are invited all year round. Its a way of thanking the many volunteers who make Bigbury News happen. Please give generously. Details of hoe to do this are in every Bigbury News. Thank you.
Bigbury News has its own state of the art printing equipment capable of printing postcards, greeting cards, calendars, flyers, booklets and the parish magazine. The Editor aims to use the printer for local charitable fund raising projects and invites local residents, involved in charitable initiatives, to get in touch. Any income generated, above the costs of production, will be donated to local charities.
Bigbury News is the only monthly magazine freely distributed to 450 Bigbury households and is the best targeted advertising for this area. Businesses should get in touch with the Editor for current advertising rates.
Subscriptions by second class post for 12 months per year for £30. A digital version and reference copies are available in the DOCUMENTS section of this GROUP. Please help to promote this with visitors.
The Editor, Louise Wainwright, invites readers to provide information, news and views on a range of new regular features including:
