STUART WATTS – Information for parishioners

I have lived in the South Hams since 1996 and in Bigbury since 2002. During that time, I have become familiar with and taken an active interest in many of the issues concerning the parish, its people and its environment in my roles both as Chairman of the Memorial Hall (2005-2009) and as Chairman of the Aune Conservation Association (2006-present). I played an active role on the committee which – on behalf of the Parish Council – researched, designed, financed and delivered the current Parish Plan in 2009 and more recently I have served on the management team and the Community Facilities Fund sub-group of the South Devon Coastal Local Action Group which has awarded £000’s of pounds to deserving local communities. I was co-opted on to the Parish Council in April 2010 and, without fear of exaggeration, I can also claim to be one of the few parishioners who have regularly attended Parish Council meetings throughout my residence in Bigbury!
Prior to the elections in May 2015, when I decided not to stand for election again, I was Chairman of the parish council for almost 5 years.
